  • IN/VISIBLE WALLS: GRASS ROOT STORIES OF KOTA TUA, AN EXHIBITION Saturday, 7 December 2024 at 10:00 WIB Galeri Kunir at Kampung Susun Kunir, Jl Kemukus No. 2, Tamansari, Jakarta Barat About In/Visible Walls What makes Kota Tua Jakarta? An answer to this question might evoke an image of a heritage-protected area dotted with colonial buildings. But for many, Kota Tua is home—a place where kampungs have thrived for generations, squeezed and sprawled among colonial remnants. What is the relationship between the kampungs and Kota Tua? How have they shaped each other’s development? This exhibition delves into these questions through creative works developed in conversation with kampung residents. A special section also highlights the story of Kampung Susun Kunir over the years into what it is today. The exhibition runs until 15 December 2024.   At the exhibition there will also be some first prototypes on display from the NLKH Living Lab team from Saxion University of Applied Sciences and Universitas Airlangga, which are results from brainstorming and generating initial ideas for the product during their visit in Jakarta (read more about their project here: https://lnkd.in/gCvwDN5e) Learn more about the collaboration between the partners in the NLKH Living Lab and Kampung Kollektief during the panel this Saturday, or read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/ga2wU_qt.
