  • The ALBA Tridi Project celebrated reaching one million safe man-hours without a lost time incident (LTI) on September 25, 2024, in Kendal, Central Java. After 13 months of construction, this remarkable safety milestone was achieved. The ceremony was attended by Vincent Cheng, Project Director and Chief Technical Officer of ALBA Asia Plastics Recycling Limited; James Holloway, Director of PT Meinhardt Indonesia; Antoine de Winter and Benny Handoko, Directors of PT Decorient Partaya Indonesia. Awards were presented to outstanding employees, and ALBA recognized both Meinhardt and Decorient with certificates of appreciation. On the same day, a Taking Over Certificate was signed, marking the completion of the main works by Decorient. A small team will remain on site to assist with the installation and commissioning of process equipment. In his speech, Vincent expressed gratitude to both Meinhardt and Decorient for their exceptional performance and adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety. He noted that, among all ALBA projects he has been involved with, this one stands out for its construction excellence. Thanks to timely construction delivery, the ALBA Tridi Plastics Recycling Plant in Kendal, Central Java, is set to begin operations ahead of schedule. We hope our clients successfully complete the testing and commissioning process to achieve full operations by early 2025. Once again, we take pride in Decorient’s ability to meet client expectations as a trusted partner in construction. #construction #ALBA #Decorient #safety #sustainability #yourtrustedpartner

  • BTS New Public Canteen of HM Sampoerna Karawang Plant https://lnkd.in/g-jG3WAi

New Public Canteen of HM Sampoerna Karawang The new public canteen at Sampoerna Karawang Plant, strategically located at the centre of Lot 41 production facility, is now operating. Decorient was responsible for the design and construction of the canteen as part of RRP Phase 4 contract. The intention from the clients was to upgrade and improve the previously operating canteen building which didn’t age well compared to the surrounding plant facilities. The design of the new canteen should be modern, spacious, bright, clean and easy to maintain. To enhance its spaciousness, the structure was designed with long span steel rafters to minimize quantity of columns. As for the identity of Sampoerna, a custom Y-shaped steel column was erected at the front and covered with clay cladding. The walls were finished in IQOS vibrant colours, to create the bright and refreshing environment. With an open design to provide natural air circulation, the canteen uses Kalsi cladding to protect the inside from rain splashes and triple-layered skylight glass for natural lighting and UV protection. Maintenance-friendly details include fixed tables and chairs planted to the floor, and steel tables with sintered stone slabs. The canteen is divided into three zones: food stalls, drinking station, and dining. The food stall zone has a kitchen, serving area, and rear service access. The drinking station is placed in the centre to prevent crowd blocking the passage of canteen users. The canteen also features tray racks and bins to introduce a new way of self-service dining to the users. The new public canteen was opened on June 4th, 2024, by HM Sampoerna management to the users’ delight, HM Sampoerna staff and vendors. #construction #decorient #sampoerna #philipmorris #safety #building #smokefreefuture
