Two patrol-type warships built by the PT Citra Shipyard in Batam were added to the Indonesian Navy. The Republic of Indonesia Warship (KRI) Butana-878 and KRI Selar-879 were the names of the two patrol boats. The vessel measures 45.5 metres in length, 7.9 metres in breadth, 1.8 metres in draft, and 24 knots in speed. In addition, the ship has two 12.07mm submachine guns, a 30mm cannon, and a single main gun. This demonstrates that the Batam shipyard is of a different calibre, manufacturing more than just conventional ships. This action was done simultaneously to support government programmes, improve the economy, and provide a measure of national independence by fulfilling national security equipment requirements. #indvestime #batam #indonesia

Every year on June 5, World Environment Day is observed with the purpose of encouraging more ecologically friendly behaviours and raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation. The benefit of environmental conservation is becoming increasingly important as microplastics, tainted air, and harmful radiation levels rise. Batam, with the goal of becoming a green city, is competing for investment with other Southeast Asian nations. The first phase of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) was completed in Batam, and more stages will be built soon. Reservoirs for floating photovoltaic (FPV) will also be installed in Batam to support green energy. Other supporting businesses in Batam include the production of solar panels and other related industries. Aside from that, the administration is also concerned about education. In order to sustain the green energy ecosystem, businesses that use green energy technologies will eventually need to collab with universities and vocational schools. #indvestime #batam #indonesia
