About us
5*S: Space, Surveyors & Students is an educational project aimed at Junior Cert cycle teachers and students, with the goal of teaching users about how informational data sets can be used to tackle challenges in Ireland. It is joint activity between Maynooth University, Ordnance Survey Ireland, TU Dublin, Esri Ireland and the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. It is funded by Science Foundation Ireland and ESERO Ireland. The project is split into two parts: - Student and teacher storymap workshops designed to introduce participants to space based data. - An augmented reality app designed to visualise complex space based data in a new way.
