We are delighted to announce that Cathal Purcell has joined the Activate Capital team as an Investment Analyst. Cathal recently completed a MSc in Finance and Economics at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, and holds a BSc (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from University College Dublin. In 2023, Cathal undertook a summer internship with Activate Capital, and we are pleased to welcome him back into the team.

Last week, I had the chance to explore how our ABF platforms can give our clients a proprietary edge with two of KKR’s Asset-Based Finance platform CEOs— Activate Capital’s Robert Gallagher and ALTAVAIR’s Steve Rimmer - at the 2024 KKR ABF Forum. We’ve been financing Irish homebuilders with Activate for the past 9 years and commercial jets that are leased to airlines with Altavair for the past six years. Talking to these CEOs, it was clear to me how the deep industry experience and longevity of their teams gives us differentiated origination access and specialized expertise that in turn helps us provide exposure to the diversified asset base that appeals to so many ABF investors. I hope everyone who joined us got some interesting perspectives.
