Exciting times at Aer Arann Islands as we welcomed the Iconic Twin Otter aircraft from De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited. The visit was a remarkable opportunity to experience its capabilities firsthand as the aircraft was on a static display, followed by a short demonstration flight over the Aran Islands, Inishbofin and Cleggan. The event was marked by the heartwarming speech delivered by deputy Éamon Ó Cuív, who eloquently emphasised the importance of aviation services for connecting our Island communities and preserving the vibrant culture and heritage of the Islands. We were also honored to hear from DHC’s European sales head Christophe Simon, who spoke about the Twin Otter’s proven track record of success in similar island-based operations around the world. This event was attended by various members of the community and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in making this demonstration a resounding success. Aer Arann Islands promises to continue to explore sustainable options for enhancing our service to all. #aviation #sustainableservices #galwayavaiationservices
