Celebrating an unusual Irish heroine! Great to have the Sweeney family visit An Post HQ to see the Maureen Sweeney room, named after the Postmistress in Blacksod Co. Mayo who gave the weather report that saved D-Day from a storm. Maureen died in 2023, and there will be a special postmark up to June 6th, the 80th anniversary of D-Day. From international logistics planning, to careful, secure delivery or collection and easy returns, our unique mix of digital and human skills, proven sustainability achievements and local knowledge set us apart. We have been building out our infrastructure capacity and new ways of working to support ongoing ecommerce parcel growth in 2024.” The announcement came as An Post’s latest E-Commerce Index showed up several interesting trends among Irish shoppers, including - · 71% of 16-24-year-olds have made purchases online based on influencer/celebrity social media endorsements (up from 64%in August ‘23) · 55% of 25-34-year-olds have made purchases online based on influencer/celebrity endorsement on social media (up from 43%) · 38% of 16-24-year-olds are shopping online weekly (up from 29%) · 33% of 25-34-year-olds are shopping online weekly (up from 28%) · 82% of online purchases are under the €100 threshold. #logistics #delivery #christmasdelivery #partnership
