It's almost 3 weeks since #AvCon and we're still going... We set out to have 6,000 students attend and live-stream the event to those that couldn't be there in person... never did we actually visualise 14,000 sets of eyes would be there in person and virtually! We are only really coming to terms with the actual impact the event has on the way the next generation will look at careers of the future! Are we done? No way! It's hard to believe it's been a week since #AvCon24 and we have our stats in... Are you ready??? What a fantastic start for Ireland’s very first aviation-focused event of this scale, and we couldn’t have done it without you. We’re excited to share the AvCon Attendance Report along with an Online Viewing Map. Our inaugural event brought together 6,480 in-person attendees, with 6,088 Transition Year to 6th Year students, approximately 80 third-level students, and the remaining crowd of teachers, SNAs, and parents. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive! Exhibitors, speakers, teachers and parents have been reaching out with messages of appreciation, calling it an unforgettable experience for students and adults alike. And know that each one reflects the energy and enthusiasm our amazing exhibitors and speakers helped bring to life. And… AvCon 2025 is already in the works! It’s going to be two full days of inspiration and innovation, and we’re going even bigger and bolder! Stay tuned for more updates on AvCon25 and the introduction of the AvCon Awards! ✈️ A Huge Thank You to All Who Made #AvCon2024 a Success! ✈️ We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us – students, teachers, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers who travelled from near and far. And a special thanks to the Irish Air Corps for hosting our incredible event and for the hard work of all Air Corps members, both in the lead-up and on the day itself. We couldn't have done it without you! 6,480 people attended! Out of which just over 6,000 were TY & Senior Cycle students. A special shout-out to GOC Brigadier General Rory O'Connor for his hands-on approach and inspiring support from the very beginning, Minister of Transport James Lawless for his unwavering commitment, and Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Sean Clancy for officially opening AvCon and setting the tone for our first event of its kind in Ireland. As Lt Gen Clancy said in his opening speech, "This Aviation Convention (AvCon) is going to be the signature career and talent convention for aviation in Ireland."
