We are delighted to share that the Brewers' Hall project, where our team at Peter Deer and Associates contributed as the MEP Engineers, has been recognized with a prestigious CIVIC TRUST AWARDS!
We are thrilled to have been part of the team behind the Brewers' Hall refurbishment project, which has received recognition at the CIVIC TRUST AWARDS 2025! As the MEP Engineers for this exciting project, we played a key role in delivering modern, energy-efficient building services systems while overcoming significant design and operational challenges. The project included the refurbishment of the existing building and the addition of three new storeys, creating a mix of residential, office, and event spaces. Located in an area rich in history, we worked carefully to preserve elements of architectural and symbolic importance while modernizing the building. Key highlights include: 🔸 Heat recovery ventilation for habitable spaces. 🔸 Downflow heating & cooling systems to overcome height restrictions. 🔸 Connection to a Citigen district heating/cooling network for enhanced efficiency. 🔸 Use of UV treatment and innovative ventilation designs to mitigate contamination risks, addressing challenges posed by the pandemic. 🔸 Highly efficient LED lighting throughout the building. Designing for a site steeped in history and architectural significance required careful planning and a forward-thinking approach to sustainability. The result? A modernized building that respects its past while looking toward the future. A huge thank you to our team and collaborators for their hard work in making this project a success! 🎉 #CivicTrustAwards #Sustainability #BuildingDesign #EnergyEfficiency #Innovation #PeterDeerAndAssociates #AyrtonGroup dMFK Nick Tindal Heyne Tillett Steel Neilcott Construction Limited Gardiner & Theobald LLP
