Providing an online psychology training platform for schools, teachers, parents and health professionals

About us

The Child Psychology Institute is an award-winning international EdTech company with a passion for empowering schools and parents, as well as healthcare, social care and education staff who work with children with online courses, training and programs. With a firm background in health psychology, we provide training in topics such as childhood trauma, anxiety, dyspraxia, attachment and resilience. CPI offers online courses and programs for groups and individuals, which are self-paced and offer lifetime access so the content is owned by the customer and can be re-visited at any time. We place importance on our students reflecting on their own practice, recognising opportunities for improvement and integrating their learning in a meaningful way. Our courses and programs are informed by the Ecological Model of Health, which assumes that childhood’s mental health is determined by influences at various levels (McLeroy, Bibeau, Steckler & Glanz, 1988). CPI’s approach to education is aligned with Bronfenbrenner’s Bioecological Model, which emphasises the importance of integration across a child’s world. The Child Psychology Institute was awarded Overall Start-Up of the Year 2021 by Enterprise Ireland in recognition of our innovative approach to supporting children and those working with children, as well as our global ambition as a high-potential EdTech company.

From listening to your feedback, we know that this can be a difficulty for many parents and professionals alike. What makes anger in children so hard to deal with is that it can seem as though these children don’t want to be helped and their behaviours can be frustrating and antagonistic.😡 😤 But as always, we’re going to take you “under the hood” to take a look at what’s happening from a psychological standpoint so that you can be fully equipped to deal with any form of anger, whether it be tantrums, protests or defiance. We're excited to invite you to our upcoming webinar, "Calm & Confident: Helping Kids Navigate Anger," taking place on December 3rd from 6:30-7:30 pm GMT. Children’s anger is often seen as disruptive, but what if we could reframe it as a cry for connection? This webinar, inspired by Dr. Dan Siegel’s ground-breaking work on attachment and neurobiology, is all about shifting our perspective on anger. We'll dive deep into understanding the root causes and explore how you can turn these challenging moments into opportunities for growth and connection.
