Many of us are proud of our products or services, but we should not be so proud that we elevate them beyond their true worth.
This is when we dont see the change around us,competitors improving and introducing new products while we are so focused on our achievements.
It's important to innovate, embrace change and listen to our customers, often by reading between the lines.
For example, is our product still meeting the needs of our customers, has our customer base changed over the years, is the product or service categorically still as good or better as it once was? Is there a better offering in the market from our competitors?
The information is there, declining sales or false increased sales ( due to upward adjusted pricing) , lower repeat business, positive anecdotal stories about other products or competitors. We dont need to be told directly, the information is there and the problem with asking directly is the people ,to avoid conflict, tell us what we want to hear.
2025 is going to be a great year!
