There was a special guest at the weekly lunch club for older people in Salthill parish recently. With delicious food prepared as usual by COPE Galway social enterprise, Meals4health, they had a helping hand from Rose of Tralee, Keely O'Grady, to serve the meals. Keely also got involved in the bingo, calling the numbers, and chatting with members of the community attending the lunch club on the day. Thank you for your help Keely, it was lovely to meet you! There is no excuse for violence against women and girls. On the first day of #16days we stand in support and admiration of the tremendous courage of women like #NikitaHand. Her determination to speak out and bravely seek justice following the assault she experienced is a powerful testament to the strength of women everywhere. It is not Nikita’s job to make changes in society – it’s on everyone to work towards #ZeroTolerance of violence against women and girls. We hope this verdict adds to the validation of Nikita’s violent experience and helps as she continues on her healing journey. 📞If you or a woman you know needs support, please call our 24-hour confidential #helpline on 091 565 985. #16daysofactivism

A big thank you to both the University of Galway Horror Society and Photo Society for hosting such a creative and successful fundraising event back in October! The collaboration resulted in a spooky and unique Halloween mask-making fundraising event, which has raised an amazing €897. These funds will help us to continue provide our vital services in Galway for people affected by homelessness, domestic abuse, and older people in the community in need of extra support - thank you for organising this event in aid of COPE Galway and to all who donated.💙
