🌟 Empowering Educators with Technology at the 2024 EDTips Symposium 🌟 We were thrilled to join our partners, the CS_Inclusive Research Group, to welcome educators to this impactful event. Caroline O'Reilly kicked off the event with an inspiring keynote around the power of STEM. Focused on supporting teachers to implement the new #digitaltechnologies strand of the updated Primary STEM curriculum, the EDTips Symposium provided a fantastic opportunity for educators to: 👉Explore digital technology concepts 👉Engage in hands-on, plugged and unplugged activities 👉Network with leading experts in the field The EDTips initiative will equip teachers with an age-appropriate, interactive suite of lessons on Digital Technology, paired with Professional Learning materials to build confidence and empower teachers to bring these lessons to life in any classroom setting - no matter the technical infrastructure! Together, we’re paving the way for the next generation of tech innovators! 💻 #digitaltechnology #STEMeducation #EDTipsIre

It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm from the Leaving Cert Computer Science students of Abbey Community College, Waterford, during Róisín Faherty's talk. Their insightful questions and answers assured us that the future is in good hands! #leavingcertificate #LCCS #CSEducation #computerscience
This morning, I had the privilege of speaking to the Leaving Certificate Computer Science students in Abbey Community College, Waterford. It was truly inspiring to engage with such a bright and enthusiastic group of learners! The students showed incredible curiosity and insight, asking thought-provoking questions about the rise of robotics, artificial intelligence, and the ethical implications surrounding these technologies. Their level of engagement and interest in these critical topics gives me great confidence in the future of our field. A special shout out to Tim Slight for fostering such a dynamic and inquisitive learning environment. With students like these, the future of tech is in great hands. 🌟

We're so proud of Keith Nolan and Keith Quille's contribution to TU Dublin Research and Innovation's International Men's Day celebration, as Positive Male Role Models within the Faculty of Computing, Digital and Data, TU Dublin. Dr Keith Nolan exemplifies what it means to be a positive male role model. As the leader of the national EDTips SFI outreach program, he has empowered teachers across Ireland to confidently teach computing, fostering future generations of tech enthusiasts. Within the CS_Inclusive research centre, Keith inspires budding academics and PhD students, guiding them on their research journeys with unwavering dedication. His commitment to going above and beyond to support his team and the centre reflects his exceptional character and leadership, and truly defines what it means to be a role model. Dr Keith Quille is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Enterprise Computing and Digital Transformation in TU Dublin. Keith is the lead for the TU Dublin CS_Inclusive research centre.
