At DCU’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, we believe in a fully rounded student experience that is truly transformative. Our faculty has seven schools in: Communications; Law and Government; Applied Language and Intercultural Studies; English; Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge; History and Geography; Theology, Philosophy and Music. Our state of the art facilities include TV and radio studios, Mac labs, multimedia labs and language labs. Together with our internship programme, a study year abroad and a strong research culture, DCU continues to be a compelling choice for students. With almost 200 research students, an average of 10 monographs and 125 international peer-reviewed publications per year and an average externally generated research expenditure of over €3 million per year, the Faculty has a strong research profile of international standing.
