Members of the Digital Technology Skills team were in attendance at the Cyber Ireland National Conference 2024 #CINC24, taking place yesterday (26th September) in Kilkenny, Ireland. The event is a fantastic initiative bringing together the #cybersecurity community, with 400+ leaders and professionals across industry, academia and government meeting, learning and sharing insights. The theme of #CINC24, ‘Securing Ireland’s Digital Future’, ties in perfectly with the work we are doing as a consortium partner on the Digital4Security project, a pioneering pan-European master’s programme in cybersecurity management and data sovereignty to equip European SMEs and companies with a comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity management, regulatory and technical skills, to safeguard European industries from cyber attacks. 📷 𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Yesterday (Wednesday 25th Sept), the graduation event for the ESSA Software Skills Junior Developer Pilot Course took place at National College of Ireland, celebrating six months of hard work and innovation from the students. The ceremony was opened by Professor Horacio González-Vélez, Head of the Cloud Competency Centre. This was followed with inspiring words from Dave Feenan, Director of Digital Technology Skills (DTSL), about the #ESSA project’s vision and DTSL's role as a consortium partner and sponsor of the pilot programme. Carmel Somers, Human Capital Strategist at Digital Technology Skills, provided practical career advice to the graduates, while course lecturer Vikas Sahni reflected on the journey and achievements of the students over the past six months.
