Great to see this guidance launched. It will support implementation of #UNCRPD and sets clear expectations of the next Irish Govement #priotitisedisability
Persons with disabilities have the right to live independently in the community. We applaud the European Commission's Guidance launched yesterday that aims to ensure that EU funds used by Member States, authorities and organisations support solutions based on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This notice is a first step towards ensuring the right to independent living for persons with disabilities and moving towards a future where the 1.4 million persons with disabilities who live segregated in institutions in the EU have their right to independent living, freedom, choice and control.
