New Contract Award Donnelly Civil Engineering Ltd. have been awarded the Castletownbere Syncrolift Jetty Repairs and Fender Replacement by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The jetty is located in the busy fishing harbour on Dinish Island. The project will involve concrete repair works to areas of the deck soffit and longitudinal/transverse beams of the jetty, and the removal and replacement of the existing fenders. The new rubber fenders will also require the installation of 40 tonnes of new structural support steel. 🌉Bridge Lift at Coote's Lane!🌉 Great aerial shots of the bridge lift over the Breagagh at the bottom of Coote's Lane last week as part of the Coote's Lane Active Travel Scheme. This bridge completes the link from Coote's Lane to the Ring Road providing attractive, looped walk options for those living in the residential estates off Coote's Lane. The route also serves as an off-road route to school for the students attending the two schools on the lane, St Patricks De La Salle and John of God.🚶♂️ Other recent additions to the lane include the planting of a native hedgerow and heritage apple trees and a mural inspired by Cartoon Saloon's Wolfwalkers.🌳 Donnelly Civil Engineering Ltd. has successfully installed the 16.5m span steel bridge and the 12-tonne steel structure was designed by Kilgallen and Partners Consulting Engineers Ltd. Donnelly Civil Engineering Ltd. has successfully installed the 16.5m span steel bridge over the River Breagagh as part of the Coote's Lane Active Travel Scheme for Kilkenny County Council. The 12-tonne steel structure which was designed by Kilgallen and Partners Consulting Engineers Ltd. was lifted into position early this morning using a 110t mobile crane.    Works will continue for the next month on the completion of the two boardwalk approaches to the east and west of the bridge.  #donnellycivilengineering #civilengineering #construction #infrastructure #bridges #steelwork #cranes #activetravel

DCEL have commenced works for the Office of Public Works on the Má Teine Pumping Station, Talavara CSO and Associated Pipelines project. The project forms part of the Templemore Flood Relief Scheme being completed by the Office of Public Works. DCEL’s scope of work involves the construction of a new 200mm HDPE rising main pipeline, a 300mm gravity sewer pipeline and the upgrading of the existing Uisce Éireann Irish Water pumping station including the upgrade of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation equipment. #donnellycivilengineering #civilengineering #construction #wastewater #pipelines #pumpingstations #meica
