The Irish Government Economic & Evaluation Service (IGEES) held its Annual Conference, on Wednesday 27th of November at the Clayton Hotel 🏨 . With the aim of furthering an integrated cross-government service to support better policy formulation and implementation in the civil service through economic analysis and evaluation. Some of the topics covered include: - Ireland’s Offshore Renewable Energy Strategy ‘Powering Prosperity’ - Defence Forces, the Naval Service, and Irish Public Finances ⚓ - Security Environment Assessment - An Analysis of Housing Affordability and Market Access 🏘️ - Review of the Basic Income for the Arts for the Arts 🎭 - Spending Review of Specialist Disability Services in Ireland - Distributional Analysis of Tax & Welfare measures in Budget 2025 The IGEES is fully integrated into the civil service, and the Annual Conference is one of the highlights in the year for Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery & Reform of Public Expenditure and Reform.
