ECO-UNESCO encourages a respect for nature thus encouraging respect for diversity, which in turn will lead to a respect for all diversity to include cultural and social diversities. ECO-UNESCO promotes active environmental stewardship by understanding of the linkages between human behaviour and our wider environment. • Congratulations to Helen McEntee TD on Her Appointment as Minister for Education and Youth! We at ECO-UNESCO believe that the Government’s decision to integrate youth and youth work into the newly established Department of Education and Youth marks a significant step toward enhancing collaboration and coordination of services that support the development of young people. This restructuring underscores the vital role of education and youth work in fostering young people’s well-being and future prospects, especially as many experience the adverse effects of the climate and environmental crisis. ECO-UNESCO, Ireland's leading environmental education and youth organisation stays committed to support young people in advocating for climate and environmental action. We look forward to engaging with Minister McEntee to expand opportunities and ensure that all young people receive the support and resources necessary to reach their full potential. Together, we can create lasting change that empowers young people and builds a better planet.
