SAIL WITH US: GRACE O´MALLEY IS LOOKING FOR AN INTERNATIONAL MARKET EXECUTIVE About the Role: ITUT, the company behind Grace O'Malley Irish Whiskey and Granuaile Gin, seeks a driven and ambitious International Market Executive to spearhead growth in key EMEA, North American, and Asian markets. This pivotal role will directly report to the Head of Sales and offer significant opportunities for career advancement. Responsibilities: - Manage a portfolio of up to 10 international partner companies, focusing on market expansion and sales growth. - Deliver sales training to international teams on whiskey and gin brands. - Collaborate closely with importers to achieve annual sales targets, including regular market visits, relationship building, and identifying new opportunities. - Drive commercial development within the On and Off Trade markets. - Launch new products through engaging consumer events and tastings. - Ensure partners remain updated on all brand assets and marketing materials. - Collaborate with Bord Bia for brand promotion in existing markets. - Identify and develop new export markets. Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in commercial or account management, ideally within the international spirits or FMCG sectors. - Proven track record in B2B sales and account management. - Strong understanding of the Food and Beverage industry, specifically spirits brands. - Strategic mindset with the ability to drive market expansion through effective relationship building. - Entrepreneurial spirit and proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities. - Proficiency in Excel and CRM software. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Fluency in English. Other languages are welcome - Experience in the Irish spirits sector (whiskey, gin, cream liqueur, etc.) is highly desirable. Last Thursday, I had the distinct pleasure of leading a whiskey tasting at the esteemed Whiskey Club under the guidance of the grand #BernhardSchäfer in Nuremberg. What a marvelous experience it turned out to be! The club is an inviting mix of knowledgeable and spirited enthusiasts who truly know how to cultivate an enjoyable and educational atmosphere. The discussions during the evening were lively and filled with wit, exhibiting impressive depth of knowledge. Although the speaker may not have had an endless reservoir of expertise to draw from, a refreshing honesty ruled the day—no pretense, I assure you! This sincerity was well received, setting the stage for a relaxed environment where everyone felt encouraged to share their insights. Now, onto the tasting itself! We commenced with the maritime-inspired #MaritimCask, followed by the intriguing #RumCase, which brought forth delightful, sweet and exotic notes. Next in line was the #DarkChar, showcasing its rich, roasted character, and we concluded with the exceptional #SingleMaltStoutCask, emphasizing those wonderful malty aromas. The grand surprise of the evening was the Grace O'Malley 18 Year Cognac Cask. This illustrious bottle, embodying the essence of the Pirate Queen, charmed everyone with the entire selection we had on offer. Even Bernhard Schäfer couldn't resist sharing an enthusiastic remark, saying, "Not bad at all, what ye all are doin’!" This acknowledgment truly reflected the success of the evening. In summary, the whiskey tasting was a resounding triumph, leaving all participants with a treasure trove of new impressions and flavor experiences. The quality of the photo taken after the session might not be the best—after all, we were all a bit merry and full of laughter! Last week, we had the fantastic opportunity to spend time with our importer and partner for Germany, #FerrandDeutschland, in the vibrant city of Berlin. We are confident that our whiskeys and gin perfectly fit the premium spirits range that Ferrand represents. What truly delights us, however, is seeing our products featured in some of Berlin’s finest bars, such as #KinkRestaurantBar and #hildegardbar, and witnessing the dedication of the retailers who passionately champion our brand. Spending the last few days in #CountyMayo, the homeland of our legendary #GraceOMalley, has been nothing short of fantastic. The skies were blue, the sea mirrored perfection, and we've encountered some truly remarkable people. In #Kilsallagh, #Westport, we visited the #MescanBrewery. Cillian and Naomi are exceptionally wonderful folks, crafting outstanding, slow-matured Belgian-style beers with the support of Tom (pictured left). We sampled a few of their brews—even before noon. Life can be tough! A few years back, we aged one of our whiskeys in a Mescan Red Tripel cask. This time, we’re excited to try something new.
