Double congratulations Brian and Daniela. 🎓🎓👏👏 Best wishes to you and all your graduating classmates on the MA Local History at Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Limerick. #StayCurious
“Sometimes, education is just focused on career, but the rigour of an academic programme does get the brain to expand, and it changes how you view the world. That’s what we want to show the kids as well – that education is a foundation that you build everything on, and if you don’t stay curious like that, it can narrow your scope.” It was a double celebration for Brian and Daniela Leahy as they graduated from UL this week, both being conferred with an MA in Local History. “You need to recognise what style of learning a person has – some people are very practical - they want to be given a task, then go and see how they get on. Other people like to be given lots of information in advance, go away and read up on it, do it, and then ask for feedback. Rather than using one size fits all, we try to work out what works best for each person, what is the best way for them to learn and adapt our teaching to that.” Critical Care Dietitian Shane O’Connor from Killarney graduated this week with a Master’s Degree in Health Professions Education.
