This week I had the pleasure to join this panel to talk about "Net Zero Assets" at GRI Club Europe this week in Paris on behalf of GFORM and the Greenman Group.   Thanks to Alexander Piur @ING Wholesale Banking for brilliantly moderating a great discussion and to my fellow panellists Hannah Stern BuildingMinds, Alex Edds LaSalle Investment Management, Bruno Blavier Swiss Life Asset Managers, José Antonio De Pedro Cuadrado Fluxus Ventures, Paula Albaladejo JLL and Vincent BRYANT Deepki for an engaging conversation. A topic that ran out of time in the end, means something!!!   Great to be involved in a discussion that acknowledged we need to stop blaming the lack of data or Net Zero assets for not taking action. It was clear to all in the room that a reciprocal relationship between the tenant and the landlord/manager, built from a trusting long-term relationship, is the key to bringing retail real estate assets to a carbon net zero.   Existing buildings are the closest buildings to net zero and with the correct alignment of Landlords, facility managers, property managers and tenants alongside CAPEX improvements built into an assets business plan, at the right times, progress can be made. Until next year, lets keep moving together to combat more sustainability issues with our RE, to a more Net Zero future. Thanks again to GRI Club GRI Club Europe for hosting yet another great event! GFORM are always delighted to continue to support as a sponsor.
