Yew Point at Hodson Bay & The 100 Million Trees Project This morning we were joined by Deric Hartigan from Ireland AM, Dr. David Mulcahy from The 100 Million Trees Project and Gearóid Kennedy from Forestry Services Ltd, to begin the planting of 5,000 trees at Yew Point. The Hodson Bay Group is contributing to the 100 Million Trees Project by planting trees at Yew Point, Hodson Bay. This national initiative, led by the Mulcahy siblings, aims to plant 100 million native Irish trees across Ireland using the Miyawaki method, a dense planting technique that accelerates growth, enhances biodiversity, and creates rapid carbon sinks. By supporting this project, the Hodson Bay Group is planting 5,000 trees, helping to restore Ireland’s biodiversity and combat environmental degradation.
