Strong job supports and manager relationships are critical for fostering inclusion. 3️⃣ Employees from the LGBTQ+ community often experience slightly lower wellbeing and higher marginalisation. Inclusive policies and practices help reduce the number of employees who feel unable to disclose their gender identity. 4️⃣ With Gen Z now representing 30% of the global workforce, understanding the unique needs of all five generations is essential. We are delighted to take part in the Inclusive Communications Programme rolled out by the Irish Banking Culture Board and inclusio over the coming weeks and months. Various teams across the group will be offering this as an additional support to colleagues in customer facing roles, particularly those working in our contact centres and over the phones. This programme will consist of short interactive online modules which cover content on a variety of I&D Characteristics such as Gender, Ethnicity, LGBTQ+ and Neuroinclusion. This will be a valuable tool to help build confidence in communications both internally with colleagues and externally with our customers.
The IBCB is delighted to partner with inclusio Learning Labs on the Inclusive Communication initiative launched today, to enhance diverse & inclusive culture through improving inclusive communications for bank staff and customers across AIB, Bank of Ireland and PTSB. The core objectives of the initiative are to create an inclusive environment through continued behaviour change by encouraging respectful and considerate curiosity around human differences and providing the tools to build confidence in communications both internally with colleagues and externally with customers.
