A very productive two days with the #EU #HorizonEurope ADOPTION Project.   The meeting began with a recap of the mid-point project review which had been carried out by the Commission a few months back and which was very positive overall. Our Women of the Year for Innovation in partnership with Davy are the founders of Coroflo, an innovative medical device company transforming infant care that officially launched on the market this year. Coroflo has developed the world’s first breastfeeding monitor that accurately measures breast milk intake. Driven by a shared mission to empower parents and enhance infant health, Rosanne Longmore and Helen Barry have created a pioneering product that addresses one of the most common challenges in early childcare: ensuring newborns receive adequate nutrition. It uses a standard silicone nipple shield with an embedded patented micro-flow sensor, alongside an app that helps mothers monitor the milk flow to their baby. With concerns over low supply often cited as a reason to stop breastfeeding, the monitor strives to dispel the lack of real-time information. Longmore, the CEO of Coroflo,secured the necessary funding and medical and investor partnerships, while Barry, as CRO, oversees the operations and product development. This medtech device is a significant breakthrough for femtech and it will – for the first time ever – provide breastfeeding data to medical researchers. #WOMENOF24 #IrishTatlerxDavy
