The European Commission is increasingly shifting its focus from pure research and innovation toward scale-up and implementation. This shift aligns perfectly with our shared goal of driving competitiveness and achieving tangible impact. On April 4th, our open access pilot and demo facilities, which support the scaling of bioeconomy innovations, all members of Pilots4U by CoPilot, will be in Brussels. Delighted to be attending the launch of the EU Bioeconomy Clusters Alliance in Brussels today. Excellent discussion at the moment on the ‘Circular Bioeconomy as a main pillar of the Clean Industrial Deal’, opening address by President SPRING Catia Bastioli. While we haven't yet taken the wraps off the latest participants in the Bord na Móna Accelerate Green cohort (patience, patience!), we've already rocketed through the first module of the programme, and we're set to go again this coming Thursday and Friday for module two. We had an intense opening two days on module one, as the Thursday/Friday timing overlapped with the arrival of Storm Éowyn (the most powerful and disruptive weather event Ireland has ever experienced). It's sobering to spend time discussing the opportunity of scaling climate + nature solutions, while the immediate effects of environmental breakdown cause havoc in our critical infrastructure and supply chains - it certainly clarifies the mind, and gives a renewed sense of purpose! 🚀 This week Project NPower was officially launched in Cartagena, Spain! #NPower is an EU-funded initiative tackling #Nitrogen (N) and #Phosphorus (P) excess by advancing circular nutrient management. 🔄🌱 Over the next four years, the NPower consortium—integrated by us along with 24 other partners from six European countries—will implement innovative solutions to restore ecosystems 🌍, enhance sustainability, and promote a circular economy of nutrients. Our goal? To efficiently reuse #Nitrogen and #Phosphorus, ♻ minimising waste and environmental impact while ensuring these essential nutrients remain available for agriculture 🚜 and ecosystems 🌾.
