💫 Two of our former Studio artists recently represented Irish National Opera at events hosted by RESEO, a European network for outreach producers and artists working in opera and ballet. 👇 Soprano Kelli-Ann Masterson, a former member of the INO Studio and a familiar face on our stages, is a successful recipient of the Arts Council’s Young People, Children and Education Bursary Award. As part of the bursary, she is developing her skills as an outreach facilitator and exploring examples of best practice abroad. In Porto, Portugal, Kelli-Ann attended a RESEO conference on creating sustainable engagement and navigating social and environmental complexities as cultural workers.  🙌 Chris Kelly, a former INO Studio Director, took part in a three-day training focused on co-creation and early childhood development in Matera, Italy. The project explored innovative training methods to create targeted, inclusive community projects using music as a creative tool. 🎼 We are inspired to see our former Studio artists engaged in continuous professional development and delighted to offer them further support as they grow their careers. 👏 #Opera #IrishOpera #PerformingArts #OperaForAll #INO #INOStudio #professionaldevelopment #outreach

🎭✨ Shaping Stories and Shaping Careers in Opera ✨🎭 Our Development lead Aoife Daly recently had the pleasure of visiting Professor Wolfgang Marx's Writing for Music class for first-year students at University College Dublin. The discussion centred around the vital role of creative writing, editorial precision and factual accuracy in arts management. From fundraising to marketing, company management to artistic direction—knowing how to tell a story and communicate effectively is essential for almost every role in opera. Whether it’s bringing a production to life on stage or sharing our work with audiences, impactful storytelling and clear communication fuel the passion, purpose, and reach of our art form. 🎶🖊️ A big thank you to Professor Marx for inviting Aoife to speak! In collaboration with The Lir Academy, INO’s Stage Managers Paula Tierney, Anne Kyle, and conductor Elaine Kelly led an intensive course “Knowing the Score” back in September.  🎼 As part of this immersive Score Reading Course, second-year Technical Production students are equipped with the essential knowledge to follow and interpret musical scores in live productions. This is a critical skills for those entering the industry and an opportunity to learn from Ireland’s leading opera professionals.
