At Irish Medtech, for almost 3 years, we've been vigorously advocating for the urgent need to develop & support the implementation of a new National Life Science strategy for #Ireland - a call which we've continued to make through our Priorities for the Next Govt Campaign. As the party manifestos have been published over the past week or so, we've been encouraged to see both Fine Gael and Sinn Féin echo and support this important policy priority for our country. The Irish life sciences sectors - biopharma, medtech, and digital health - have shown their value in enhancing lives and driving economic growth, even amid global challenges. With over 600 companies and 94,000 employees, Ireland's Life Sciences sector has a significant global impact, with exports exceeding €120 billion. This joined-up national approach will help us overcome rising obstacles, diversify beyond manufacturing and supply chains, foster a thriving environment for start-ups and SMEs, and ensure access to world-class talent, as well as patient access to innovative medicines and technologies.
