We asked Gary McGrath, Insourcing and Recruitment Manager at SGS to tell us about some of the benefits of their Laboratory Apprenticeship programme and here's what he had to say: "The number one benefit of the apprenticeship program for our company is developing a highly-skilled, tailored workforce. This ensures that employees are trained specifically for the company’s needs, processes, and culture, leading to better alignment between skills and job requirements, and ultimately, higher productivity and performance. Apprenticeships have enabled us to address skills shortages, leading to fewer operational bottlenecks to ensure smooth operations in the lab". Thanks for your excellent feedback, Gary! No matter what sector you operate in, any company with a Laboratory in Ireland is eligible to participate in an Apprenticeship programme. Programmes are running in Munster Technological University Technological University Dublin and South East Technological University. To facilitate the growing interest in the programme, we now hope to expand into Technological University of the Shannon and Technological University of the Shannon in 2025.
