LCI is always thrilled to see its team members make a positive impact on their communities. One is our Operations Manager, Monica Butfoy Marsh, who volunteers at the Waterford Marine Search and Rescue (WMSAR).   This charity has operated since 2010 and works round the clock to provide Search, Rescue and Recovery services along the River Suir, and all waterways and tributaries in Waterford City, County, and local areas.   They also provide various water-based services including suicide prevention patrols, flood and swift water rescue, drone and sonar operations, event safety cover, and training programs.   We are proud of Monica, whose commitment reflects our core values, and we are pleased to support her in all her endeavours.   Learn more about Waterford Marine Search and Rescue and see how you can support it here: https://lnkd.in/eW5vysqH

LCI is proud to support the incredible work of the Solas Project, an organisation dedicated to empowering young people reach their full potential. This project aligns with our passion for nurturing the next generation of leaders and encouraging them to develop essential life skills like motivation, self-worth, and self-confidence.   Recently, we hosted a special 5-week business mentorship programme in Dublin, our headquarters. Our team mentored bright young minds aged 10-12 from underprivileged backgrounds, guiding them as they developed their innovative business ideas. The programme culminated in an exciting Dragon’s Den-style pitch event, where these budding entrepreneurs presented their ideas to a panel of LCI judges.    To celebrate their hard work and creativity, each child received a special goodie bag filled with exciting gifts, including merchandise from Airbus Helicopters and Leonardo Helicopters. They also enjoyed a well-deserved pizza party!   We're incredibly proud of the efforts of these young minds and grateful to the SOLAS Project for giving us the opportunity to be part of this fantastic experience.   #LCI #SOLASProject #STEM #aviation #education

Breaking news: LCI is expanding its fleet with seven state-of-the-art Leonardo Helicopters AW169s, specifically configured for emergency medical services (EMS).   These helicopters will be leased to Babcock Canada Inc., a global leader in critical support services and subcontracted by Ascent Helicopters Ltd. to provide EMS operations across British Columbia on behalf of BC Emergency Health Services. They are being placed in LCI's joint venture with Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company, Limited.   Nigel Leishman, Chief Commercial Officer of LCI, says: “LCI is honoured to support the important roles that Ascent and Babcock are playing in the expansion of vital EMS operations in British Columbia. We are 20 today! On this day in November 2004, LCI delivered its first commercial fixed wing aircraft and, with that, embarked on a unique journey in aviation.    You can read about the entire journey here (https://bit.ly/4fpSsBk), from the very first deal struck by our founding shareholder, Libra Group, led by George Logothetis, onto fixed wing aviation, freighter aircraft, helicopters, and advanced air mobility.   Over the last 20 years, LCI has undertaken over US$10 billion of aviation transactions, including a US$1 billion fleet divestment in 2007, and a US$4.8 billion fleet investment and divestment cycle running from 2008 to 2020. LCI is pleased to announce the expansion of its successful partnership with Omni Helicopters International with the lease of two new Airbus Helicopters H175s.    Omni is the largest helicopter operator in Latin America delivering a range of Search and Rescue (SAR), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and onshore and offshore crew transport missions. The two H175s will be used to support Omni’s contracts and join seven LCI helicopters already in service with the operator.   Nigel Leishman, Chief Commercial Officer of LCI, remarked, “LCI’s growing partnership with Omni demonstrates our ability to meet the growing demand for high-performance, efficient helicopters which can deliver mission critical operations in Latin America.    “The H175’s modern, efficient design is enabling Omni to significantly reduce operational emissions, especially when compared to larger legacy rotorcraft or alternative crew transport modes such as ships.”
