Marine Institute reposted this
Míle Buíochas Údarás na Gaeltachta! The Mná na Mara event was a terrific celebration of the enormous contributions of female leaders in the marine and maritime industries. It was terrific to hear the vision for the sector of Timmy Dooley, incoming Minister of State for Fisheries and Marine. I was honoured to share a stimulating panel discussion with Sinéad McSherry, Teresa Morrissey, Laura Brien, Caroline Bocquel, Úna Brosnan and Deborah Coleman. Many thanks to my Marine Institute colleagues for your great support of the event, and to the team at Údarás na Gaeltachta for this tremendously well organised forum.

The Winter Environmental Survey assesses the quality of the waters around the Irish Coast. The RV Tom Crean has recently travelled around the northern half of the island, from Dublin to Galway. Check out this video to see the process for collecting the fauna samples, which are indicators of the water quality in the areas sampled. 👉More info on our Scientist@Sea blog https://lnkd.in/eV-zEvRx
