Matheson's Impactful Business Programme remains committed to making a meaningful change in our communities. As part of this, we are proud to be supporting a number of our charity partners this festive season. Throughout December, we have been running a number of activities to raise funds and vital supports for those who need them most, including: Partnering with ALONE to support their Christmas Hamper Drive. Matheson's CSR Committee coordinated the collection from around the firm of supplies including food, blankets and clothing. ALONE is an Irish national organisation that supports and empowers older people to age happily and securely at home. Supporting the Capuchin Day Centre and Cork Penny Dinners. Both organisations work with disadvantaged groups and provide food and other essential social inclusion and healthcare supports in Dublin and Cork. At our annual Christmas Jumper Day, we also came together to get in the festive spirit and raise funds for these organisations. Matheson's Christmas Carols, held annually in memory of our late colleague Emer Casey, raises funds for the Emer Casey Foundation, which promotes research into ovarian and related cancers. Matheson's Annual Christmas Carols recently took place in our Dublin office and was a great opportunity for staff, family and friends to enjoy an evening of festive Christmas Carols, mulled wine and mince pies. Held annually, in aid of our former colleague Emer Casey, the choir performed a range of joyful tunes accompanied by Matheson’s own talented musicians. All of the funds raised from the event are in aid of the Emer Casey Foundation, which is dedicated to providing funding to secure the best independent research to detect the early signs of uterine / ovarian cancer.
