Across our 50-year-long legacy in Ireland, our business has continuously grown from strength to strength – always expanding our footprint in Ireland through new jobs and new locations. We’re very excited to announce a new chapter in this exciting journey through the recent acquisition of a new plant in Dundalk. With a focus on developing vaccines for global populations of today and tomorrow, the Dundalk plant is a state-of-the-art, 15,520-square-metre, three-story manufacturing facility that brings our network’s scale to a remarkable total of 8 locations across 6 counties. The acquisition also brings the creation of a significant number of new and exciting jobs in addition to our ongoing recruitment efforts across all of our sites. With over 150 new jobs being created, make sure to keep an eye out for what’s to come! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for us as we continue to further our mandate to deliver for people and patients – from MSD Ireland to the world. We were delighted to be selected by IBEC to contribute to their Annual Manufacturing Report.   Now in its fourth year, we had the opportunity to participate in a case study about MSD in Ireland, discussing how digital transformation and sustainability are reshaping the way MSD operates, both in Ireland and globally.   Launched at an event in Cork this week, Brian Killen, Digital Transformation Lead at MSD, participated in a panel discussion which focused on addressing the current challenges and opportunities for manufacturing in Ireland.   At MSD Ireland, we’re using advanced technologies like AI-powered tools, energy-saving systems, and waste management programmes to support both digital innovation and sustainability goals, and our twin transition strategy combines both sustainability and digitalisation in order to achieve a long-lasting impact.
