We recently hosted the final webinar of the 2024 AccessAbility ERG Awareness Series, focusing on Visual Impairments and Blindness. It was an incredibly thought-provoking session that left us with new perspectives and actionable insights. Did you know that every day in Ireland, 18 people begin to lose their sight? We were honoured to hear from Martina Melvan, Workplace Integration & Partner Officer at Vision Ireland, the new name for NCBI , Ireland’s national sight loss agency. Martina shared invaluable insights into the challenges faced by individuals with blindness and visual impairments, shedding light on the importance of understanding and addressing these barriers. A heartfelt thank you to Audrey Tormey, a Braille and Communications Tutor at Vision Ireland, for sharing her lived experience as a blind individual. Her insights added incredible depth and understanding to the conversation, reminding us of the importance of creating inclusive spaces that empower everyone to navigate their environments with confidence. Together, Martina and Audrey explored practical steps we can all take, whether at work, at home, or in our communities to foster greater inclusion and accessibility for people with disabilities. Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to this meaningful discussion. We are dedicated to fostering inclusion and diversity and our ERGs play an important role in creating a more inclusive Musgrave. Together, we can create a workplace and community where everyone feels valued, respected and included. 🤝 #VisionImpairmentAndBlindness #InclusionMatters #ERG #LifeAtMusgrave #Musgrave Luke Hanlon CDir Eileen Biggs Liz Larkin Julie Dorel Siobhan Hennessy Kelita McCarter Aileen Byrne Lorna Cotter

We are delighted to be partnering with SistersIN - helping to inspire the next generation of female leaders. Some of our mentors gathered in Belfast last week and reflected on the start of their journey with their mentees. Elizabeth Shaw, L&D Specialist said - “I am delighted to be involved in the SistersIN mentorship programme as it provides the opportunity to foster mutual growth. It is inspiring to see the enthusiasm my mentee has for her own future. I hope to provide guidance for her as she navigates her own path.” Musgrave is the first food retail and wholesale business to join the SistersIN Leadership Programme, which helps develop female school pupils to become the leaders of tomorrow through leadership development training and mentorship from female business leaders. 🤝 #Musgrave #SistersIN #FemaleLeaders #LifeAtMusgrave Louise Tolerton Carolyn Black Sara Gunning Claire McAlinney Niamh McDonald Elizabeth Shaw Emir Timlin Stacey Smyth
