Wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day, from everyone at Nua Healthcare Services. Last night, we hosted a wonderful Valentine’s Disco for our residents, with over 200 attendees enjoying an evening of music, dancing, and celebration. This year’s theme, ‘Relationships Decoded’, was inspired by our Relationships Decoded group, a programme run by our Psychologists to support residents in learning about all aspects of relationships— from friendships and dating to healthy communication. We are also delighted to congratulate the winners of our Employee Valentine’s Giveaway: 🎉 Patience Maposa – Tignish House 🎉 Jamilatu Bancie – Tulla House 🎉 Karen Al Mane – Teach Folláine

We are delighted to announce the official openings of two new CLaD Hubs, expanding our commitment to Continuous Learning and Development across Ireland. At Nua, our CLaD Hubs are designed to equip individuals with the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to thrive. These hubs provide structured, facilitator-led training programmes that combine practical skills development with educational enrichment, fostering independence and personal growth in a supportive learning environment. The Little Island CLaD Hub in Cork offers a specialised curriculum focused on restoration, maintenance skills, curation and display management, and heritage conservation education. This hands-on training provides individuals with valuable expertise in these fields, supporting their development in both practical and theoretical aspects. In Dublin 12, the Riverview CLaD Hub is now open and fully registered with New Directions, making it eligible for After School Leaver funding. This hub delivers our core educational programmes, including Health and Wellbeing and Independent Living Skills, empowering individuals with essential competencies for everyday life. Both hubs feature dedicated sensory rooms, designed to create a supportive and adaptive learning environment for individuals with sensory processing needs. At Nua, we are committed to expanding our CLaD services to ensure meaningful learning opportunities for those we support. These new hubs represent another step forward in our mission to provide person-centred care, to support individuals to pursue a meaningful and fulfilling life and to be happy and contributing members of their communities.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic and untimely passing of our beloved team member, Eddie Broaders, who lost his life in a road traffic accident on Wednesday evening. Our thoughts and prayers are with Eddie’s family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Eddie was not only an exceptional healthcare professional but also a cherished member of the Nua team. He brought kindness, dedication, and warmth to everyone he worked with and supported. Rest in peace, Eddie.
