🌟 Key learnings from the PRWeek Measurement Conference 🌟 Yesterday’s PRWeek Measurement Conference was packed with actionable insights about how we can better measure the impact of PR and communications. Here are my top learnings and opportunities: 📊 Tailored metrics As Joseph Brophy of Heineken highlighted, businesses have unique objectives that require tailored metrics to measure success effectively. Generic metrics like Share of Voice (SOV) don’t always tell the full story. For example, Gousto developed a bespoke framework that focused on fame, differentiation, and love - a great reminder that metrics should be built around the campaign’s specific objectives. 💡 Breaking silos Effective measurement isn’t just about tracking media coverage - it’s about integrating data from across the business and aligning KPIs with leadership expectations. 🤖 AI in measurement AI is improving how we analyse sentiment, crunch data, and generate insights. While it’s a powerful enabler, human oversight and thoughtful application remain essential. 🌍 Reputation matters With intangible assets now driving 80% of business value, reputation measurement is more critical than ever, especially in areas like culture and sustainability. Social media is increasingly central to this work. A special highlight was hearing from our own Anna Salter, Head of Consultancy at Onclusive, who shared the award-winning TELUS case study. This partnership exemplifies how global enterprises can scale measurement by connecting tactical metrics, purpose-led strategy, and reputation management - setting new industry standards.
