Big shout out to Eli Lilly Kinsale for hosting the AEPIC close out meeting, Fantastic project collaboration between Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre and our partners Technological University of the Shannon in conjunction with PMTC members Eastway Reliability & Eli Lilly Kinsale Limited. Great Insight and learnings around the use of AI-ML and sensors to enable Realtime monitoring for predictive failure of mechanical seals. This innovative approach promises significant cost reduction and enhanced asset utilisation in both large and small-molecule manufacturing. Looking forward to shaping the next phase. Great Work Marcus 👏
Frame it to Tame it (or "Assess it") in the case of the FoReSight framework. Communicating risks for multi-stakeholder data-driven solutions means anchoring on the relevant information needed (not just the data!). Framing the relevant information you need along with the decision to be made (intended use), is key before assessing the risks. Identifying key datasets and agreeing the data-to-information details are part of FoReSight too Ib Alstrup ! Check out the FoReSight framework details in the paper here: https://lnkd.in/e4gTj5yZ and here tech news article here: https://lnkd.in/eAH4qsPz Thank you to all the good folks at @GAMP ISPE Ireland Affiliate community for the stimulating event and discussion. Thanks to Dr. Eva Kelly and her excellent team Ben O'Brien and Fiona Chung at ERA Sciences for the chance to present alongside. Shout to Peter Blennerhassett too for snap from down the back of the room :) FoReSight wouldn't be possible without its project partners Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre at Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Limerick. Thank you! #collaboration #pharmaceuticalmanufacturing #biopharma #quality #dataanalytics #machinelearning #dataintegrity

#LatePost I am pleased to share that I was in #GLS-16 at #Dresden #Germany Sept 2-5. My presentation on " Addressing Clogging in Continuous Crystallizers Fluidic oscillators and helical coil" covered the #clogging and #Encrustation issues in a #Continous #Crystllizers. I discussed the various reasons and a few techniques to delay/avoid clogging in continuous crystallizers. Apart from this my supervios Prof. Vivek Ranade had a plenary talk on "Hydrodynamic cavitation for intensifying multiphase processes: State of the art, challenges, and path forward" I would like to thank Prof Markus Schubert and Prof Uwe Hampel for a great conference. I would also like to extend my acknowledgment to the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology Centre, SSPC, Research Ireland Centre for Pharmaceuticals from Bernal Institute, University of Limerick, University of Limerick, and The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson for supporting this work. A few photographs from the #GLS16 are attached. #research #continuosReactors #Multiphase #Conference
