  • Liebherr Cranes Depart Port of Cork for Hamburg! 🏗️🚢 This morning, three giant Liebherr Group cranes began their journey from the Port of Cork to Hamburg, Germany! These towering cranes were meticulously assembled right here in Cork at the Dockyard before their voyage to the continent. A huge shoutout to our skilled port operations crew, who expertly guided the vessel safely out of Cork Harbour. We wish the cranes and crew onboard smooth sailing and a safe arrival in Hamburg. Gute Reise! • A great day was had by all our little Port of Cork Company Ltd. family members today as the main man took time out of his busy schedule in the North Pole to visit our shore and give gifts galore. Thank you to all involved who made today possible and bring such joy and happiness to all the little faces.

Delighted to see the man of the month pay a fleeting visit to Cobh today to attend the Port of Cork Company Christmas lunch, where he got a great welcome from the children of the Port. Well done to the launch crew, to Santa himself and his helper who did a great job distributing the treats, to Sinead & the HR Team and to all our other little helpers!!! The final but most important thank you goes to all our Port families big and small who took the time to join together for a fantastic day of festive fun … !!

  • The Port of Cork had the pleasure of hosting representatives from South Coast Logistics Ltd, Scan Global Logistics and Nordzucher AS for a tour of the Cork Container Terminal in Ringaskiddy, where they were provided with an overview of the Port of Cork's projects and future plans. It was a privilege to welcome Troels Rasmussen, whose exceptional career in logistics is matched by his remarkable achievements as a Danish goalkeeper in major international tournaments. With Troels, you’re certainly in a safe pair of hands ⚽🚢

  • We hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving from the Port of Cork! 🇮🇪🤝🇺🇸 As our American counterparts celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, we are grateful for the ever-growing trade ties between Ireland and the United States. Our partnership with Independent Container Line (ICL) brings Ireland and the U.S. closer through the only direct shipping route between Ireland and America—linking Cork to ports on the East Coast of the USA to serve and benefits businesses and communities on both sides of the Atlantic. We also recently signed a MoU with the Ports of Indiana, paving the opportunity to explore an express container service between Ireland and Indiana. Together, we’ll work on initiatives in economic growth, environmental sustainability, and advanced technology, which will help to build a brighter, more connected future for both regions.
