An informative and educational seminar on Stormwater management was held at The Westbury Hotel in Dublin. Collaboration between CRH companies Roadstone and Hydro International was a central feature of the event. Excellent presentations were delivered by Phil Collins from Hydro International, Ian Swartz of Goodrock Project management, Dr. David Morgan from University College Dublin, and Colin Doyle from Roadstone. The speakers addressed key issues regarding the management of water and the design of suitable systems. The resilience of the built environment was discussed through a panel discussion chaired by Alan Lowe from Roadstone. The group addressed how innovative storage, treatment and mitigation systems can be put in place to minimise the impact of significant weather events. A viewing of the recently completed 3D printed social housing scheme in Dundalk took place yesterday. The event was an opportunity for those interested in future developments to view the finished homes before occupation. The development for Louth County Council and built by B&C Contractors LTD marks the first scheme of its kind built in Ireland, through partnership with Harcourt Technologies Ltd and Roadstone.
