Quality materials, pristine finishes, reorientation and clever use of light give this recent fit out we completed in South County Dublin its sense of tranquility. An unwelcoming, shabby, old office, drenched in unnatural electric light has been replaced by an inviting space where people can work together in calm and clean surroundings. Hard hats off to James Conroy, Phelim Loye and the rest of the Roccul Limited team for delivering this project on time and on budget (as always). Roccul has just completed their latest project in the UK. The entire refurbishment of Green & Fortune's outlet in the busy King’s Place in King’s Cross was finished in just six weeks. Since launching here in 2008, Green & Fortune’s flagship branch has become something of a mainstay in this iconic part of London - a reliable oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle of this great city. The brief for this small project was to enhance that sense of tranquility. As always, our team delivered on time and on budget. This was a lovely project to work on and it’s another corner of London we can add to our growing portfolio in the UK's capital. Thank you to CORUM L'Epargne who entrusted us to upgrade their building in Newcastle Upon Tyne. We brought EQ5 on a journey from an EPC "D"to "A" rating and achieved BREEAM excellent. This was done whilst keeping within budget due to clever design on both the Architectural and M&E pieces. We’re not so sure that buildings can have charisma but if they can, then this project we worked on for the team at Corgan has it in spades. Few buildings in Dublin have such inherent style and drama; so it was a real privilege to work on this fit-out all the way up on the eleventh floor of the EXO building. With stunning views right around the city, over Dublin Bay and into the Dublin mountains, it was such an inspiration to walk in here every day. We needed it. For all the beauty this building offers, it also presented many challenges; the type of challenges that we love to take on. Can’t get a shipping container up eleven floors? Sure we can. And it looks great too in all its yellow splendour. Hard hats off to Site Manager Ciaran Fields, Project Manager Gerard O'Neill and the rest of the team for their commitment to this project. Lots of early starts and plenty of logistic challenges to deal with and they were dealt with in the usual calm and composed manner that our clients are now accustomed to. After the recent completion of this project in Oak Road Business Park, we swung by to chat to some of the team about the work on this 95k + sq ft site just off the M50. As well as outline the scope of works, Senior Architect Yanesca M. from Module Group and the Roccul team including James (Seamus) Flynn, Gavin Balfe and Phelim Loye talk about the importance of good communication, traffic management, safety standards and the challenges of working in a live environment. “What stands out for me about Roccul, is their ability to work as a team. We had heard through the Dublin grapevine that Peploe's on the Green was Jean Kennedy and her husband Frank's favourite restaurant. So we were delighted to celebrate Jean's retirement with the couple last Friday evening. We've said it already (and if you haven't seen the video, have a look below 👇) but, Jean, you will be sorely missed. We had a great night and we hope to see you again soon. You may have left the company but you're still a big part of it.

This evening, we will mark the retirement of a Roccul stalwart.   Since arriving at the company, Jean Kennedy has transformed how we do things at Roccul and we look forward to celebrating her work and, most importantly, her friendship.   We were delighted to get the chance to sit down with her earlier this week and chat to her about her time with us. She has plenty to say in this short video, so be sure to have a look, but there is one line that really stands out.   "Everyone is treated with the same respect."   Jean, we will miss you, not just for your diligence and calm professionalism but also for your warmth and integrity.
