About us
Sligo LEADER Partnership Company (CLG) are an organisation who's mission is to support the community of Sligo through RDP funding for Ecocomomic Development, Social Inclusion and Rural Environment. Our Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) provides funding to tackle poverty and social exclusion through local engagement and partnerships between disadvantaged individuals, community organisations and public sector agencies. Our Tús programme provides opportunities for work placements for the long-term unemployed and we also have a Community Employment programme. The Rural Social Scheme provides income support for low-income farmers and fisherpersons and a provision of certain services to rural communities by harnessing the skills and talents available from the participants. County Sligo is one of 12 areas selected nationally for operating a scheme for the development of Rural Recreation. As part of this SPLC is tasked with the management of the Walks Scheme, promoting and encouraging the development, delivery and improvement of recreational projects, infrastructure and activities. Our goal is to support the local community through all of the different programmes that we run and help contribute to making County Sligo a better place to live and work in. Our aim is to support the
