In the research study across five partner countries - Italy, Greece, France, Croatia, and Austria - our project team explores how companies and local communities approach Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and community development. Our research, conducted under WP2 Leaders, Project School, provides a country-by-country profile of CSR and community engagement practices. The study reveals important insights: survey data uncovers unique trends shaped by gender, age, and professional roles, showing how different demographics engage with CSR. In addition, companies are increasingly collaborating with local communities to strengthen social responsibility efforts, while each country’s distinct approach highlights the diversity in CSR practices and community involvement across Europe. This knowledge is crucial for driving transformation by focusing on what matters most: the challenges, needs, and desires that already exist in the community. In June, 25 representatives from 14 partners across 7 European countries gathered at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Rijeka for our second in-person partner meeting. Pavle Jakovac from EFRI kicked things off, sharing insights on the co-design session for the SIM Training Programme. Meanwhile, Marko Tomljanović presented the SIM Programme guide template for the course curriculum. Over two productive days, we formed five small working groups to develop core aspects of the SIM Training Programme content. Together, we made great progress in agreeing on sub-themes and determining which educational partners would lead and assist with each module. Keep following our progress over the next few months as the programme takes shape. #SIMprojectEU #SocialImpactManager #CorporateSocialResponsibility

This week, we are celebrating Erasmus+ Days and in honour of that, we want to share an event that our French partners organised in Paris! Felipe Pimenta, Social Impact Manager Project Manager at Sorbonne School of Economics, explored key landmarks tied to Erasmus+ and their academic legacy. The tour started with a visit to the Sorbonne, an important site in the Olympic Movement, where the International Olympic Committee was founded in 1894. They took the opportunity to highlight one of this year’s themes: the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and how they’ve shaped both academic and athletic pursuits. Next, it was the amphitheater where 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐞 made history, by becoming the first woman to lecture at the Sorbonne in 1906. A visit to the 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡é𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 provided a perfect chance to introduce the Erasmus+ programmes, including the SIM programme. With a diverse group of students, including those new to Erasmus, it was great to highlight the wide range of opportunities available. The day concluded with a stop at the 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡é𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, where the group reflected on the work of Louis Braille and the impact of his invention on accessibility. As we prepare for the 200th anniversary of the Braille code next year, we are reminded of how the power of innovation can change lives. This event truly reminds us of how Erasmus+ bridges cultures and shapes future leaders. 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐄𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐮𝐬+ 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬!
