We are delighted to see Annamarie O'Connor & Elaine Clarke as guest speakers at today's #CIPDWellbeing Conference in Croke Park. A huge thanks to CIPD Ireland for inviting us along to share some of the fantastic work we have done towards Improving Working Life for our amazing colleagues ✨️ #TeamTayto #CIPD #wellbeing
What an exciting and invigorating day so far! 🤩 🔹 Dr. Mark Rowe opened this year’s #CIPDWellbeing Conference with his inspiring keynote on #health and #vitality in the workplace. Through the medical lens and his passion for #HolisticHealth, Mark drilled down into the essence of sustainable self-care. Next, previous #CIPDHRAwards winners shared key learnings from their winning initiatives with chair Shane Prendergast. 🔹 Tayto Snacks, winners of the 2024 Elevating the employee experience (small/medium) category, shared a snapshot of how they are improving colleagues’ lives. Annamarie O'Connor and Elaine Clarke highlighted the importance of building engagement and taking colleagues’ voices into account to develop initiatives that had real meaning for colleagues aiding in the success of the initiative. 🔹 Dr. Sinead Brennan, Lorraine O'Carroll of Grant Thornton Ireland, 2024 Embedding a culture of workplace wellbeing winners, presented on GT’s “Be well” programme. Internal collaboration greatly fed into the success of the programme with buy-in from senior leaders being crucial. It was important that this wasn’t an events-led initiative, but rather one that was focussed on education with the flexibility to cater to personal wellbeing needs. 🔹 Nicola Byrne, CEO Shine, Professor Brian Harney, DCU and Professor Deirdre O'Shea, PhD, UL explored the latest research around the importance of #MentalHealth and smart job design in the workplace with chair Mary Connaughton, Fellow CIPD. They stressed the importance of open and transparent conversations around mental health in improving happiness and productivity in the #workplace. The importance of smart #WorkDesign was also emphasised in addressing psychosocial hazards and in creating an environment for happier and healthier employees. 🔹 Chair David D'Souza, CIPD led an insightful conversation with Ger Perdisatt of Lua Health and Sarah Horne of Oracle on how #AI and technology can deliver more personalised and effective solutions for wellbeing. Drawing from their experience, they shared some practical pointers on what works and doesn’t work in this space. They emphasised how the risk shouldn’t outweigh the potential benefits. With mindful experimentation that considers what is required from an organisational point of view and a #DataProtection lens, organisations can develop interesting and successful solutions to enhance both individual and organisational #WellbeingStrategies. Looking forward to our afternoon sessions after a delicious networking lunch! #CIPD #WellbeingConference #HR #PeopleProfession #Wellbeing
