We are delighted to announce the beginning of a transformative €52 million investment programme to elevate our Main Arena at the RDS! This regeneration project includes the construction of a new Anglesea Stand and updates to the Grandstand which will be the location for new dressing rooms and player’s tunnel. Our goal is to further enhance this historic venue to meet the evolving needs of Ireland’s sporting and entertainment communities, underpinned by values of inclusivity, sustainability and excellence. With support from the Large-Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund (LSSIF), this project marks an exciting new chapter for the RDS. Highlights: - New Anglesea Stand: 6,775-capacity for an elevated spectator experience. - Grandstand Upgrades: Enhanced facilities for top-tier events. “As the home of the Dublin Horse Show and Leinster Rugby, this is an exciting time for the RDS,” says Liam Kavanagh, RDS Chief Executive. Stay tuned for updates as we bring this vision to life! #RDSRegeneration #RDS
About us
Over the past three centuries the RDS has grown from a small gathering of visionaries into one of Ireland's most influential bodies. It continues to pursue its mission to encourage the pursuit of excellence in agriculture, arts, science and industry throughout Ireland by educating, providing practical guidance, acknowledging success and encouraging ability. It relies on its own resources to fund its activities and on the voluntary input and support of its Members who give of their time and expertise. The Society has always prized its independence and, to achieve this, utilises its premises and grounds to the best effect to generate revenue to fund its activities. Because of its central location in Dublin, the variety and flexibility of the rental space available and the expertise on hand, the RDS has become a major venue for exhibitions, conferences and business and social gatherings of all sizes. The RDS Main Arena can host outdoor concerts for up to 35,000 people and is also home to the Dublin Horse Show and Leinster Rugby.

Earth as the Client in 300 seconds With the insight of Shelley McNamara and Yvonne Farrell, Founding Directors of Grafton Architects, Chris Croly, Building Services Engineering Director of Building Design Partnership, and Bernard Seymour, Managing Director of Bernard Seymour Landscape Architects 🗣️"There is something exciting about sustainability, it is not all negative... if we rise to it, it could lead to the balancing out of the imbalances that have existed". The #Vision300 series, arranged by the RDS Enterprise Committee, identifies key voices who are recognised drivers for change within their own areas of expertise and experience. Their unique insight and vision to deliver in these times of challenge can be a valuable catalyst for change. By sharing what drives their own passion to deliver a more sustainable enterprise, economy or society, they can inspire us all to make the big and small changes necessary as the window for addressing the challenges of climate change shrinks.
