We’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Communications & CSR Manager, responsible for managing the company’s reputation and promoting a favourable image of the company.

The role encompasses both internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging and engagement across all channels. The successful candidate will be a confident manager with a proven track record in the development of well-planned and insightful internal and external communications plans, with experience in creative content development and established connections with key industry media.


Additionally, this role will cover Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and social value. At Aramark Ireland, our sustainability strategy, Be Well. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and implementing the People pillar of Aramark Ireland’s sustainability strategy, Be Well. Do Well.™, ensuring that our CSR initiatives align with our overall business objectives and resonate with our stakeholders.


This role is FTC, covering Maternity Leave and will be based at our Newenham House Office in Northern Cross, Dublin 17.


Responsibilities

Internal & External Communications

Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.

Manage internal communication channels, including intranet, newsletters, and email updates.

  • Collaborate and support other departments to communicate company policies, updates, and initiatives.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and make improvements as needed.
  • Support the organisation of internal events
  • Develop and execute external communication strategies to promote the company's brand and reputation.
  • Manage media relations, including drafting statements, press releases and handling media inquiries
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across the business to identify appropriate news angles with a view to generating positive press coverage for the business
  • Providing strategic communications counsel to the Executive Leadership Team
  • Managing Communications and issues management
  • Responsibility for the quality control of all internal and external communications
  • Oversee social media channel and content
  • Ensure quality control of all internal and external communications
  • Team Management


CSR

Promote and implement the People pillar of Aramark Ireland’s sustainability strategy, Be Well. Do Well.™

  • Organise and manage community outreach programs, including volunteer activities, educational workshops, and fundraising events.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of community engagement initiatives and report on outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to senior leadership on CSR-related matters.
  • Manage relevant Be Well. Do Well.™ reporting



Key Requirements, Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a PR / Communications role in a high-performance professional environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in media relations in B2B and/ or B2C environments
  • Demonstrable experience of multi-tasking and operating in a busy environment
  • Proven track record of collaborating and establishing good working relationships across multiple functions and business areas
  • An ability to identify and place news stories in national, regional and trade media
  • Experience of issues management and implementing responses to protect and enhance the organisation’s reputation in a crisis
  • A team player that’s comfortable working independently, leading from the front to both motivate and inspire colleagues and clients alike
  • A third level qualification in Communications, PR, Business or Journalism an advantage
  • Full drivers’ licence
