Join us as a Senior Accountant in Dublin, where you'll play a pivotal role in our startup's financial success. We're looking for someone who thrives on ensuring precision in accounting records and is driven to innovate and implement best practices. This is your chance to make a significant impact by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations.
Responsibilities
Lead month-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting;
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial transactions and account balances;
Coordinate year-end activities, including preparation for audits and financial statement reviews;
Manage accounts payable functions, overseeing the processing of invoices, payments, and vendor relationships;
Supervise accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and receipt of payments;
Oversee Value Added Tax (VAT) processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and accurate reporting;
Take the lead in preparing and consolidating accurate and timely financial statements for the group;
Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy and elimination during the consolidation process.
You have
CAI (Chartered Accountant Ireland) or ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) certification is required;
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role;
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting;
Proficiency in Xero accounting software and MS Excel;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
Experience with IFRS and FRS 102 is mandatory;
Knowledge of German GAAP is a plus;
Experience in a group of companies with multi-entities;
Fluency in English.
