HSE Technology & Transformation is seeking an experienced Programme Director (Assistant National Director) to lead the Community Connect Programme, a cornerstone of our Digital for Care strategy. This is a service leadership role, not a technical position, working as a peer to national leaders in community and acute healthcare. As Programme Director, you will spearhead the national rollout of the Community Connect Programme, a key initiative under the Digital for Care 2030 framework. This programme will deliver a single national digital system for all community healthcare services by 2027, enabling better referrals, waiting list management, and improved access to care. In this role, you will: ✅ Lead the strategic and operational delivery of the Community Connect Programme. ✅ Work closely with clinical and service leads across acute, community, and regional health areas (RHAs) to drive digital transformation. ✅ Ensure a patient-centric approach, improving efficiency and integration in primary care, disability, mental health, and older persons' services. ✅ Partner with the national EHR programme, preparing community services for full digital integration. ✅ Drive innovation and service improvement, ensuring digital health solutions support frontline staff and enhance patient outcomes. About You ✔ A strategic leader with a proven track record in healthcare service transformation ✔ Experienced in programme management or change leadership in a multi-stakeholder environment ✔ Skilled in clinical engagement, service design, and national policy implementation ✔ Passionate about improving patient outcomes through digital solutions 📍 Flexible Location | National Reach This is a permanent, full-time role with a national remit. The first version of the HSE Health App was launched today by CEO Bernard Gloster and Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD. It is one of the first initiatives delivered as part of Digital for Care, Ireland’s health and social care digital framework. From today anyone aged 16 and over can download the app for free from Google Play or the App Store. The first version of the app will be most useful for expectant mothers. The first version of the app allows people to: · store your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), medical card, Long-term Illness card (LTI), Drugs Payment Scheme card (DPS) and GP Visit card · carry a digital list of self-declared medications and see a list of medicines received through the Drugs Payment Scheme or Medical Card Scheme · access flu and COVID-19 vaccination records · easily find information about HSE services, such as EDs and Injury Units · view maternity service appointments (for expectant mothers) Download the HSE Health App via the App Store or Google Play or visit our website for more info www.hse.ie/health-app #DigitalForCare
