What Guides My Strategy for Sensi? This week, someone asked me how I imagine the ideal aging experience. I immediately pictured the Israeli kibbutz model - An 85-year-old woman, independent and full of life, riding her scooter to the dining hall or sitting outside with a cup of tea, surrounded by family. On Fridays, everyone gathers for Shabbat dinner - kids, grandkids, a lifetime of love around her. Then he asked me: Can Sensi help people age like that? My answer? Of course not. No technology can replace that feeling. But the world today is far from being the Israeli kibbutz. The traditional, multigenerational family model, where we raise our kids and care for our elders under the same roof (or even in the same city/country), is rare in the modern Western world. And even when we do live close, life moves at a different pace. We want to be there for our parents while also giving our kids the needed attention, growing our careers, investing in our relationships, and keeping up with everything else life demands. My Wake-Up Call Six months ago, my 90-year-old grandmother, fiercely independent and sharper than all of us, fell for the first time, alone in a stairwell. No one saw it coming. A neighbor found her 30 minutes later. It could have ended very differently. That day, I installed Sensi in her home. Luckily, she hasn’t fallen since.
