שבוע שעבר התקיים סמינר ארצי מתקדם ומוצלח בנושא הפרעות במפרק הלסת הכלל הרצאות, פאנלים לדיון ותכנון ניתוחים וירטואליים. פרופ׳ סאמר סרוג׳י מנהל מחלקת פה ולסת וראש הקולג׳ אירגן את הסמינר והיה ראש הסמינר יחד עם פרופ׳ עדי רחמיל מנהל מחלקת פה ולסת של בית החולים רמב”ם. לסמינר הגיעו מכל המחלקות בארץ והרצאות ניתנו ע״י רופאים בכירים מכל המחלקות בארץ. תודה לכל מי שנכח🙏🏻 AO Foundation AO CMF Samer Srouji DMD, PhD Galilee Medical Center, Nahariya, Israel Rambam Health Care Campus

A major achievement for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the College for Dental Sciences at the Galilee Medical Center. A senior resident from the Department, Dr. Idan Redenski, has been granted the CMF Start-up grant by the international AO Foundation organization. The grant was submitted as an upcoming research project at the tissue engineering and 3D bioprinting laboratory headed by Professor Samer Srouji at the GMC Research Center, affiliated with the Bar Ilan University’s faculty of medicine. Dr. Redenski is an alumnus of the Hadassah Medical Center and the Faculty of Dental Medicine. He has completed his PhD at the Tecnion’s Silver Biomedical Engineering Faculty. Today, Dr. Idan Redenski is a resident at the Galilee Medical Center Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The research grant totaling more than 250,000 NIS will focus on regenerating complex tissues by utilizing musculoskeletal 3D printing and vascularization strategies. The new research aims at reestablishing damaged tissues in a patient-specific manner, with the hopes of rehabilitating patients suffering from debilitating organ defects as a result of major trauma, cancerous tumors, or developmental syndromes.
