Whew it's a wrap! The last two days have been just packed with awesome. MISTA Growth Hack came to a close and it's been inspring to say the least. Big shout out to the MISTA team Scott May Celine Schiff-Deb Jim Taschetta Jesse Villar Natalie Byrd for keeping on top of it all! Just wow! You know that feeling when you realize you've signed up to attend too many sessions bc everything sounds interesting? That was me the other day at the MISTA Growth Hack Symposium. TBH I'm still overwhelmed and digesting the info. But what I'm remembering most vividly are all the cool people I met and the neat things they're working on. Nick Jackowetz, PhD and Kiriakos Tsoukalas from Hydrosome Labs LLC spoke about the most fascinating ultra fine bubbles tech where every time I listen, I learn something new. I found a kindred spirit in public speaking style in Adrienne McKee from Nutrition from Water™ (NXW). I felt encouraged by Julie Post-Smith, MBA message reiterating that we're all in this together. I met Cedric Verstraeten from revyve, Alex Worker from Nutrition from Water™ (NXW) and Angus Brown from Ārepa at lunch who are all such cool people and have amazing functional ingredients and products. Dawn Mussallem, DO, DipABLM from Mayo Clinic totally won the day though. She just had the most unbelievable and motivating life story. There was a mixer event by FoodxClimate hosted at the Swissnex in San Francisco after the symposium where I got to see old friends and make new ones! I also had the honor to present the exciting work that Ingrediome Inc. is doing - making meat from CO2. For the Hack, the amazing team Aviel Even 🎗️ Michael Kaholi Yochanan Gerber Salam Bashir made fish sticks with expert assistance from Givaudan, AAK, and Ingredion Incorporated. The fish sticks were incredibly well received. It feels really affirming when strangers taste the prototypes, rave about it on the spot, then go grab others and drag them over to the booth! I only regret running out! Especially for an introvert like me, it's been an exhausting but fun couple of days! I'm definitely looking forward to keeping in touch with the new friends I've made and seeing the cool things they'll do!
